I've had a friend for going on 4 years now. I met her when I started doing childcare for her adoptive son. I pretty much adopted him myself. When she has a daughter almost two years later she started a daycare and I passed on my clients to her and went back to work since my youngest was in school full time at this point. I have always been there for her through everything. She could call me on a moment's notice to pick her son up or watch her daycare kids and I was there. When things were going wrong for her I was always on her side.About 2 months ago my friend changed. She'd been on a lot of anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds to deal with some serious issues in her life. All of a sudden she was texting an old boyfriends and exchanging risque photos with him. She and I and her mother took a trip to Colorado. Her behavior upset her mom and left me at a loss. During the trip a friend of my family called me and I let him talk to her. She divulged information about herself and her body to this 60+ year old man that would make your head spin. When he and I talked later I told him that this was not like my friend who is a Sunday school teacher and foster parent. He told me something was really wrong with her if she would open up like that to a total stranger. I told him I was worried about her and the possiblility that her meds were having an effect on her or possibly she was bipolar. I discussed with him that i didn't know what to do to help her and that I was concerned. He turned around and called her and took everything I said and put a negative spin on it making it sound like I was complaining and judging her harshly. I don't know what is worse, the 'friend' who took what I said out of context or the 'friend' who should have known me well enough to know that there was something wrong with what the other friend was saying. Long story short, I'm short two friends BUT if this is the kind of friends they were, maybe I never had these two friends to start with. Now, how do I get my cell phones back I let her use?
